Google store website now has a link to Google Pixel 9a phone.

Google’s “a” phone series is a bit cheaper phones. Personally I have liked these phones more than their flagship phones for the simple reason that they are lot cheaper, they are smaller so they fit in my pocket easily and they are just as good as their big brothers at the most important function, that is the camera. Of course, the pro phones are very good with photos but the “a” series does provides a high quality software enhanced photos.

Another thing that has bothered me with the Pixel series is the the visor with cameras. Phones have become thinner but for better camera lenses the laws of physics requires a certain distance between the lens and sensors. So for all major phones the camera lenses stick out of the phone.

Not for Pixel 9a. Here the camera is flush with the body which means you can place it on your table without any wobble.

Battery

One area where 9a beats all expectations is battery. This phone has the biggest battery of any pixel phone ever including 9 Pro. The Google Pixel 9a boasts a 5,100mAh battery, which is the largest capacity ever fitted on a Pixel phone, and it supports 23W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging.

This might give you 30% more battery timing than Pixel 9 pro.
